Würzburg
Würzburg is a city of approximately 130,000 inhabitants, located in the northern part of Bavaria, approximately 120 kilometers distant from either Frankfurt or Nuremberg.
Würzburg has a long history reaching back about 3,000 years when a Celtic fortification was erected on the site of the present Fortress Marienberg. Würzburg is rich in culture and lifestyle and provides a pleasant and entertaining atmosphere.

University of Würzburg
The roots of the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg date back to the year 1402. The university belongs to the six oldest universities in the German-speaking world, looking back at a rich tradition. Currently, approximately 400 professors and 28.000 students are enrolled in ten departments. Many renowned scientists, among them 14 Nobel prize winners like Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen (discoverer of x-rays), conducted research at our university.

BUS
The Campus Hubland (North and South) can easily be reached with local buses from downtown. You can find more information about the lines here (in German).
A single ticket is 2,80 € , a day ticket solo is 4,60 €.
You can buy a a stripe with 6 for 11,40 €, for up to 4 stations get a short distance ticket for 1,40€.
They are available at the ticket machines (cash or card) or with the busdriver (only cash).
FOOD
Lunch will be in the Mensateria at the Campus Hubland North from Monday to Friday. You will get vouchers at the begin of STAMM 2024.
On Thursday: Thursday evening there will be a conference dinner in the city of Würzburg
Coffebreaks will be in the morning and afternoon hours.
Listed lunch, conference dinner and coffeebreaks are included in the participation fee.
